In – fill panels

The panels are used in fencing systems where a barrier is required for such purposes as stopping the general public from passing through or under the fence.They also provide protection to the general public.

The major feature of expanded metal is that the mesh is formed from a single piece of metal. There is welding to support the frame only.

The mesh is expanded from carbon steel to BS11449: Part 1: 1983. All mesh is made from 0.25mm electrolytic tinplate. Diamond size 101.60 x 50.80mm, 84% open free area. Weight 3.11 kg/m2.

Ground Fixing-Permanent Design

These ground fixings are manufactured exclusively for Barriers International. The fin design ensures a clean cut passage into the ground. The earth displaced from the top cylinder compacts around the fins to further strengthen the base. This fixing is unique to our products ensuring there is no need for metal support above ground. The importance of this feature is paramount to our design, allowing the rail to yield safely in the event of an impact. The rail will simply flex, disperse the consequent force, and return to its original position.

Ground Fixing- Extra Strong

This ground fixing is designed for use either when the ground is a little soft and extra depth is needed or when extra strngth is required in situations around parade rings etc. In the first instance the ground fixing is driven into the ground until solid sub-surface is hit and extensions are added as required. In the second instance the ground fixing is put into the correct depth (surface level) and the extensions are added to strengthen the rail support posts. The design of ground fixing is also used where a fence line may have to be removed from time to time. The fence and steele extension are removed and a cap is put over the ground fixing.

Ground Fixing- Movable

This design incorporates a steel tube with a cross bar at ground level. The cross bar gives the fixing extra stability and also acts as a base for the rail support post. It also enables easier installation allowing the support to be initially set in the ground by the installer’s foot. This design is easily removed from the ground.

Rail Bends and Connectors

Rail Bends- We manufacture a wide variation of bends. They are used in many different areas of our systems as required.

Rail Connectors- We manufacture connectors for inter-linking between our different systems and also for changing from Barriers system t a system of another manufacturer.
